Newtown Savings Bank

Solidus designed and built a 2,560 square foot ground-up branch for Newtown Savings Bank in Oxford, Connecticut in 2020, on the site of a former quarry whose stone we reused on both the interior and exterior. The design emphasizes front and back visibility through glass walls, interior lighting, and soffit work that makes the branch read clearly from the road. A serpentine branded wall doubles as an after-hours illuminated billboard visible to passing traffic, alongside two dialogue towers, cash recyclers, and a drive-up ATM.
