After graduating from Villanova University with a degree in Business Administration, John began his career with Solidus as an Account Executive in 1987. He quickly took over the duties of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 1991 before becoming President in 2004, and currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer. His primary focus is organizational efficiency, strategic decision-making, and fiscal responsibility. John's versatile industry experience has been instrumental in growing the company's assets. Under John’s leadership, Solidus has become the premier Integrated Project Delivery contractor for financial institutions in the Northeast United States. In recent years he has worked to diversify our customer base and expand the territory we serve.

John is also involved with several commercial real estate entities and industry peer groups, including serving five years on the National Independent Contract Dealers Council. He is currently on the board of Grace Academy, a tuition-free middle school for underserved middle school girls in Hartford. John has also served on the board for the Hartford Golf Club.

Brian has more than 25 years' experience in business ownership and management. A licensed general contractor in Alaska for over 15 years, he is an avid adventurer and global traveler, having completed ultra-marathons around the world. Brian leads Solidus' operations, its department heads, administrative support staff, and is a member of the Executive Management Team. 

Brian is a graduate of Colorado State University and holds a professional certificate in Business Strategy and Accounting from Cornell University and earned an Executive Master of Business Administration from Quantic School of Business and Technology. He serves as a Wish Ambassador for Make-A-Wish and as a member of the Town of West Hartford’s Design Review Advisory Committee. He resides in West Hartford with his wife and their three children.

Leveraging over three decades in the design/build industry, Joe offers a holistic perspective that integrates high-level regional land development and architectural management with the practical realities of project budgeting and construction management processes. His regional focus spans the Eastern and Mid-Atlantic markets.

Fun Fact: While many executives start in business school, Joe has a unique "boots on the ground" foundation. In the summers between college classes for civil engineering and obtaining a business degree, he completed the Carpenters Joint Apprenticeship Training Program. This technical, hands-on expertise gives him a distinct advantage when managing complex construction projects.

Coupled with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting & Financial Management, Susan has more than 25 years of management experience in the construction and real estate industries, leading financial organizations from startups to $500M enterprises.

She has a strong financial acumen and data-driven approach to strategic management, financial transformation, and profitability. She plays a key role in driving sustainable growth through organic initiatives and strategic acquisitions, while streamlining processes and improving corporate efficiency, building high-performing teams, and positioning companies for their next level of success.

Charlie has worked with financial industry executives for over 25 years with a focus on integrated technology, design and construction. He joined Solidus in 2013, bringing industry knowledge that helps successfully execute projects from small renovations to significant sized new construction. Charlie is happy to be a resource for clients, and is always mindful of the fact that no single approach is the right one for every individual or project. He describes his relationships with clients as "trust-building exercises rather than a hard close".

Alan has almost 40 years of experience in design and construction for the financial industry and has worked in various capacities including interior design, sales, and project management. His areas of expertise span both the technical and creative aspects of design-build projects, as well as building a presence in new trade areas.

Fun Fact: Alan’s happy place activities include baking cookies and cycling.

Kevin brings over twenty years of proven experience in financial institution sales and technology solutions. Throughout his career, he has successfully expanded into new markets, built long-term client relationships with banks and credit unions, and consistently driven strong revenue growth. Most recently, Kevin worked with Quality Data Systems, where he helped grow into new territories and secured major new business opportunities.

Based in Pittsburgh, PA, Kevin will support our ongoing expansion into Mid-Atlantic markets.

Brian has been developing strategic partnerships with financial institutions throughout the country for over 35 years. As our New Hampshire-based sales executive, he is responsible for sourcing and maintaining new and existing relationships in New England and New York. His work for national and state trade associations throughout the region gives him deep roots in those markets.

Fun Fact: Brian attended Hartwick College where he ran track & field and played club hockey.

Joe has been working in the banking industry for over 30 years. His diverse professional history includes strategic planning, product development, and investment brokerage for some of the top financial firms in Pennsylvania. This foundation has served as his template for building strong business relationships and driving revenue growth.

In his free time Jon enjoys golf, jet-skiing, camping, and spending time with his wife, daughter and his 2 dogs.

Mark has been a leading voice on innovative branch design for decades, and continues to push the boundaries of how banks and credit unions can evolve to better serve their communities. His vision of providing superlative customer experience via data, efficiencies, staffing models and technology has placed Solidus at the vanguard of design-build for the financial industry.

Mark's commitment to devising ever-more efficient forms of project management is supported by more than 40 years' experience supplying guidance to senior management. His best-practice commentaries have appeared in The Financial Brand and he is quoted at length in the book The Commercial Real Estate Revolution on the virtues of Integrated Project Delivery as a construction process.

As a Senior Project Manager Allison serves as the main client point of contact and the manager of all third-party and internal project resources, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.  A natural leader in the organization, Allison is dedicated to supporting and reinforcing our collaborative, IPD approach. She plays an integral part in maintaining open communication between our team, our strategic partners, and our clients. Allison started her career as operations manager for The Shoppes at Buckland Hills, and previously worked for The Savings Institute Bank & Trust where she managed risk, facilities, and security.  

Fun Fact: Allison was asked to audition for the Hartford Symphony when she was in 8^th grade.

Mahir is a graduate of the University of Baghdad, Iraq, holding a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He obtained his PMP certification in 2019 and is an esteemed member of the Project Management Institute (PMI). He has over 20 years of extensive experience in construction and project management, and perhaps most notably, he contributed to the successful completion of the largest embassy complex in the world, the US embassy in Baghdad, Iraq, spanning approximately 140 acres.

Currently, Mahir resides in Branford, CT, with his wife and their two children.

Eric came to Solidus with a comprehensive background in construction and project management, starting his career as a foreman and working his way up to superintendent before diving into project management. He studied Architecture at Keene State with a minor in project management and sustainable design and engineering.

When he's not in the office he enjoys skiing, hiking, and being on the water with his wife and dog.

Jon came to Solidus with over 25 years of experience in the construction industry. He spent the early years of his career as a carpenter before taking on his first construction management position with Mass Mutual. Later he served as a project manager for Northstar Group Services where he facilitated large scale projects for companies like Morgan Stanley and Yale University. Before joining Solidus he worked for Ironclad Services overseeing the renovation of multiple VA hospitals throughout New England.

Dave's 46-year career in commercial construction began in 1979 when he became a carpenter’s apprentice. His expertise in project cost management ensures materials and resources are properly allocated and jobs fall within time and cost limits. He organizes projects into detailed phases, as well as works both internally and externally with professional contractors, a keystone role in the business. Dave's a valued resource for solving technical problems and assigning quality personnel to specific projects. His great experience and personality have earned him the respect of subcontractors and building officials alike.

Fun Fact: Dave and his wife Linda have 10 grandchildren.

Robert Clarke joined Solidus with over six years of experience in the construction industry. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Central Connecticut State University and since then has acquired hands-on knowledge of estimating software and field operations. His commitment to precision, clear communication, and attention to detail help him deliver accurate and detailed cost estimates for a wide range of commercial projects.

Fun Fact: When he's not in the office he enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife and son.

Tyler brings strong leadership, problem solving, and organizational skills from his experience as a supervisor in the pest control industry. He has managed teams and made sure customers received high quality service, while developing a hands on approach to planning, attention to detail, and meeting deadlines. His experience allows him to contribute effectively in team focused, results driven environments.

Fun Fact: Tyler loves the outdoors, especially golfing, fishing, off-roading, and camping. He loves it so much that he even has a tattoo of mountains on his arm.

Mike has worked in commercial construction since 1982 and holds a Massachusetts Construction Supervisory License. He ran his own private business for over 10 years and has worked as a lead foreman on multi-million-dollar projects throughout the Northeast. Originally hired as a Field Superintendent, Mike quickly found new footing in field oversight. He is responsible for managing Solidus’ field superintendents, carpenters, laborers, and subcontractors. His expertise plays an essential role in plan review, site inspections, scheduling, and maintaining quality standards.  

Fun Fact: Mike is an avid Miami Dolphins fan and enjoys gardening with his wife.

A graduate of Westfield State University in Westfield, MA, and currently serves as Director of Marketing. He began his career in the advertising industry, where he developed brand identities, designed logos for emerging companies, and contributed to a range of marketing campaigns. With a strong foundation in web design and proficiency across industry-standard creative tools, Nick brings a well-rounded mix of design and marketing expertise to his work.

Fun Fact: Nick spends most of his time with his husband and their dogs, usually outside, keeping things simple and enjoying the everyday moments together.

Throughout her career, Deanna has been known for combining strategic thinking with design excellence. Her work has helped shape innovative, brand-driven, financial environments for some of the most recognized names in the industry. She has built teams, developed processes, and led national design programs that reflect both creativity and operational effectiveness. Her skillset includes everything from environmental branding to ground-up buildings.

Fun Fact: In her spare time, Deanna moonlights as a kickboxing instructor.

Courtney brings just over 15 years of experience in high-end residential and commercial interior design. She has worked in both small and large scale firms throughout Boston and NH, and acquired her NCIDQ in the fall of 2020.  She has a true passion for design, and prides herself on creating current yet timeless buildings and spaces.

Based in Portsmouth, NH, Courtney will support the design team on all projects.

Swathi brings a wealth of interior architecture and design expertise, with hands-on experience in residential, workplace, hospitality, retail, and education focused projects. She earned her Master of Arts in Interior Architecture from Suffolk University in Boston, MA, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Jain University in India.

Her technical proficiency includes Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and advanced rendering tools like Enscape, V-Ray, and Lumion. Her ability to integrate spatial design with visual storytelling will enhance our design offerings and ensure cohesive, impactful environments for our clients.

Fun Fact: Swathi actually speaks five languages: English, Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil.

With a diverse background in architecture, museum exhibit design, web design, and environmental graphics, Sierra has cultivated a deep understanding of how to craft engaging and meaningful experiences. Throughout her career, she has enjoyed elevating brands and creating sophisticated solutions to complex objectives.

She holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design.

Fun fact: Sierra has a keen interest in the spatial ingenuity of tiny houses, and enjoys exploring these possibilities in design.

Sean is responsible for estimating flooring budgets and project management. He joined Solidus after career stops with Tesla, Sunrun, and BK Floors, where he worked in sales, estimating and project management roles. He holds a degree in Environmental Studies from Florida Gulf Coast University. His love of the outdoors extends to saltwater fishing, hiking and camping. A Connecticut native, Sean grew up in Wilton and currently resides in Avon.

While Nicole's essential role at Solidus is focused on construction administration, she has recently shifted some of her time and energy to generating and managing our social media and website content. She excels in situations that require strict time management, attention to detail, and organization. Nicole is also a member of The Ethel Walker School alumnae board where she serves as Co-Chair of the Student Engagement Committee.

Fun Fact: Nicole was an avid equestrian for over 10 years.

Jill joined Solidus as bookkeeper, but her strong performance, consistently positive attitude, and solution-focused mindset quickly earned her a promotion to company Controller. In this role she oversees the full accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, payroll and employee onboarding, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. She also collaborates with the sales department by coordinating tradeshow registrations.

Fun Fact: Jill met her husband of 33 years on the highway.

Jason has 30 years of experience in the flooring industry and has a proven track record of success in all types of commercial flooring applications. He has managed flooring projects for a host of industries including banking, medical, insurance, education, and corporate spaces.  

Fun Fact: On warm days, Jason enjoys cruising in his 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28.

Patty came to Solidus with over 16 years of experience in construction administration. She started off in our finance department working in accounts receivable, reconciliation, and in payroll as an assistant controller. She now supports the construction department as a Project Engineer, facilitating permits, calling subcontractors, and assisting the project management team.

Fun Fact: Patty was a competitive swimmer and made it to the Olympic trials in 2000.

Gil brings expertise from his work in New York City as a Head Carpenter, Head Fly Man and Head of Automation at a Broadway theater. His experience there coupled with his excellent communication and management skills are a valuable asset to the projects he's tasked with. Gil joined the Solidus team in 2015.

Dave’s excellent organizational skills and unflagging attention to detail have led to him taking responsibility for project sequencing and overseeing timely execution of tasks by subcontractors and related personnel. Dave develops and maintains project safety protocols and coordinates all activities involved in the projects he oversees. Dave's been with Solidus since 1995.

Jeremy has worked in construction for 20 years, joining Solidus in 2019. When he was very young, Jeremy would often accompany his grandfather, an electrician, to job sites which sparked his interest in the field. Years later, Jeremy now has three children of his own who enjoy working with him and learning the trade!

Mike is a versatile construction professional whose background includes Commercial TI Buildouts and Ground-Up builds.

Bill has been managing projects throughout Connecticut for over 30 years. His experience includes estimating and blueprint review.

Mike has over 30 years of construction management experience. He has held several professional affiliations in the state of CT and served as a member of the Codes and Permits Committee for CHCC.

Dave has over 35 years of commercial construction experience. He is well-versed in ensuring safety regulations compliance, monitoring budgets & expenses, and maintaining operational communication.

With Solidus since 1995, Ray has proven expertise in several disciplines, including commercial carpentry, drywall, hardware, acoustical ceilings, project supervision, scheduling and estimating.

Dan has worked with Solidus since 1996. He enjoys working with wood both on and off the job. In his spare time he crafts custom walking sticks as a hobby. He resides in East Granby with his two dogs, a Siberian husky and a pug.

James has been supervising commercial construction projects for over 35 years. His experience includes estimating, scheduling, and project development.
