Challenges
- Create a new, easily adaptable Seasons branch out of a worn-out, pre-existing coffee shop
- Design the space to accommodate Seasons' growing membership and offer all existing services, yet be flexible for future customer needs
- Develop a space with a bright, open office flow; a variety of areas for public use that feel both private and comfortable; and a unique brand image that would appeal to Seasons customers of all ages
The Solidus Approach
- Identified client needs and expectations, and examined the new space to uncover the pros and cons of proceeding with the fit-out
- Designed and developed private offices, a teller line, and Internet café, a comfortable lounge area and a children's play corner
- Demolished a second-floor mezzanine and created a large, open skylight in its place to add interest and light to the space
- Introduced unique materials and design elements, such as an invisible door and infusion panels
- Enlarged and relocated the entrance for easier customer access and to allow for a future ATM installation
- Adapted a lane in the double lane drive thru to accommodate a state-of-the-art banking kiosk while maintaining the industry-standard minimal-lane width
Results
- In record time, Solidus completed the entire fit-out of the new branch of Seasons Federal Credit Union, establishing a unique, modern look for the bank that carried over into its everyday marketing and advertising initiatives
